NTA UGC NET 2018: Good news! UGC NET 2018 Exam dates have been announced. Till now CBSE conducted the National Eligibility Test. But from December 2018 onwards, National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct NET for about 85 subjects on selected cities within country. To determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for Assistant Professor or Junior Research Fellowship & Assistant Professor posts in Indian Universities and Colleges, this exam is being conducted. Aspirants those who have completed post graduation in relevant subjects can submit their applications on or before 30th September 2018 to participate in the test.   • Master Degree in relevant subjects
  • Aspirants pursuing PG Degree or awaiting for results can also apply
2. Academic Marks
  • OBC-NCL, SC, ST and PWDs: 50% marks
  • Ph.D holders: 50% marks (for candidates completed PG by 19th September 1991)
  • Others: 55% marks
3. Age Limits
  • JRF: should not be above 30 years
  • Assistant Professor: No upper age limit
4. Upper Age Relaxations For Assistant Professor:

  • Not Applicable

For JRF:

  • LLM Degree holders: 3 years
  • OBC (NCL)/ SC/ ST/ PWD/ Transgender/ Women: 5 years
  • Aspirants served in armed forces: 5 years
  • Candidates with research experience: 5 years
5. Exemption (Eligibility for Assistant Professor)
  • Passed UGC/ CSIR JRF exam prior to 1989
  • Passed UGC SET for Assistant Professor posts held prior to 1st December 2002

  • Paper-II: Questions will be asked from subject selected by candidates

Fees: Aspirants have to pay examination fee depending upon category to participate on NTA UGC NET 2018 Exam, while submitting application form.

Applying Procedure: Applications for NTA NET Exam 2018 should be submitted online by eligible and interested citizens as per instructions given below.

  • Candidates have to visit www.ntanet.nic.in website
  • Read the NTA NET 2018 notification/ brochure carefully
  • Click “Fill Application Form” link in the page
  • Hit “Apply for UGC-NET December 2018” tab on next page
  • Read the instructions, tick the checkbox and hit “Proceed to Apply Online” tab
  • Fill the Authentication form and “Submit” it
  • Then proceed to fill the personal information, contact, qualification details etc in application form
  • Click “Next” button and review the filled application form
  • If everything is okay, click on “Submit” button
  • Candidates will get Application Number
  • Then proceed to upload scanned images of photograph and signature
  • After uploading images, click “Pay Examination Fee” button
  • Remit the fee by selecting payment option
  • Atlast, print confirmation page (4 copies) and keep it safe
