Indian Air Force Recruitment 2018: Indian Air Force (IAF) is going to conduct a selection test to hire suitable unmarried male citizens of India and Nepal for Group X and Group Y Airmen posts. Aspirants willing to participate on this Airmen selection test have to submit their job applications on or before 24th July 2018 to IAF through proper channel. During service period, aspirants will get promotional opportunities to serve upto the rank of Master Warrant Officer (MWO). Aspirants can also write prescribed exams and become a Commissioned Officer in IAF.

12th/ Intermediate with Maths, Physics and English (or) Diploma course in concerned Engineering
Group Y:
Medical Assistant: Passed Intermediate/ Equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English
Other Trades: Passed Intermediate/ Equivalent in any streams/ subjects
3. Academic Marks 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English at Intermediate/ diploma level
4. Age Limit Born between 14th July 1998 and 26th June 2002
Upper age limit is 21 years (as on date of enrolment)
5. Physical, Medical Fitness Height: 152.5 cm (min)
Chest: minimum range of expansion is 5 cm
Weight: Proportionate to height and age
(55Kg required for Operations Assistant trade)
Free from hearing, dental or any other health problems

Selection Procedure

I Online Test Group X: Questions will be asked from English, Physics, Maths
Group Y: Questions will be drafted from English, Reasoning and General Awareness
Group X&Y: Questions asked from English, Physics, Maths, Reasoning and General Awareness
II Document Verification Candidates qualifying Phase I exam will be invited for Phase II exam. All necessary original certificates and self attested photocopies of documents should be produced for verification.
Physical Fitness Test (PFT) Contestants who meet the eligibility standards shall be allowed to attend physical test comprising of 10 push ups, 10 sit ups, 20 squats, 1.6 km running within 6 min 30 secs time etc
Adaptability Test-I Candidates who pass Physical tests have to undertake Adaptability Test-I. This test is to assess the suitability of candidate for employment in IAF.
Adaptability Test-II Adapatability Test-I qualifying contestants shall have to undertake Adaptability Test-II. This test is to select candidates who can adapt and adjust the environment of IAF and military way of life.
III Medical Examination Adaptability Test-II qualifying candidates shall be called for Medical Examination. Air Force Medical Team conducts the examination.

  • Read the detailed advertisement for particular recruitment
  • Click “Apply Online for intake of 02/ 2019” link in “Candidate” section
  • Hit “New User? Register” link and Sign Up
  • Then using registered Email id and password, “Sign In” into the portal
  • Start filling the Indian Air Force X Y Group Online Form 2018
  • Upload scanned copies of certificates, photo and signature on required specifications
  • Click on the “Preview” button and verify all the filled details in application
  • Modify details if required and click on the “Final Submit” button
  • Proceed to remit the exam fee through payment gateway available on website
  • Individuals who wish to do offline payment can download the challan form and remit the fee in any Axis bank branch
  • On confirmation of payment, take printout of submitted application with registration number
